Nota d'usoQuando si parla di un periodo di tempo di molti anni, non si usa di norma la locuzione “a lot of years”. Очень долгое время. По правилам должно быть donkeys' ears (уши), а не years (годы). Ослиные уши, как известно, очень длинные, и именно их изначально упоминали в этом выражении.
